I’ve got another dreamy sunrise elopement in Sedona, Arizona to share with you, this time featuring Regan and Julia in Sedona! Their sunset to stars ceremony, private vow exchange, and intimate day filled with sunshine and love were truly unforgettable.
Regan and Julia, originally from Florida, embarked on a whimsical wedding adventure, touring their favorite West Coast destinations before finally choosing Sedona for its enchanting charm. Their day began with a magical morning shoot, aimed at capturing the essence of Sedona’s dreaminess. Bright and early at 5 am, they made their way to Lover’s Knoll, where they witnessed the breathtaking sunrise and penned heartfelt vows and intentions for their marriage. Amidst cuddles and the sight of hot air balloons dotting the sky, their day started with an abundance of love and connection.
After returning from Lover’s Knoll ,their first look happend at their VRBO in Sedona. Julia’s two best friends helped her get ready, and the couple shared their first look at the patio. It was a touching moment filled with love and joy as they saw each other in their wedding attire for the first time.
The couple initially planned for a specific sunset ceremony location but had to switch to their plan B due to unforeseen circumstances. They chose the Greasy Spoon campground, offering a peaceful, scenic backdrop away from the town’s hustle and bustle. The Sedona landscape provided a perfect, serene setting.Regan and Julia had a unique three-part ceremony. They wrote their vows at sunrise, said abbreviated vows at sunset, and shared their full vows under the stars, creating a magical, comprehensive celebration throughout the day.
Just like in life, not everything went according to plan during their special day. The original ceremony location fell through, prompting a quick change to Plan B. Fortunately, they found an even better spot for everyone to gather, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Opting for the Greasy Spoon campground, they discovered a tranquil oasis away from the city’s hustle and bustle. With Sedona’s picturesque landscape as their backdrop, it turned out to be the perfect setting for their heartfelt ceremony.
Regan and Julia chose not to have a traditional reception. Instead, they enjoyed a fun, relaxed evening in the car, singing middle school emo music and indulging in delicious burgers and fries.
Regan and Julia’s advice to other couples is to stay open to whatever may happen on your day and to throw out the rule book on how the day should flow. Create a day that makes sense and feels good to you. Their elopement was dreamy, like an indie movie, and completely unique to them and what they love.
