You think that I would be used to the incredible Arizona desert views, but they still absolutely wow me. As an Arizona elopement photographer, I absolutely love some of the Sedona engagement photos locations. I’m going to share four of my favorite Sedona locations, but the best thing you can do is contact me if you have any questions! You have no idea how much I love to connect with each and every couple I work with. I want this blog to be a resource for you, but never underestimate the power of personal recommendations. Let’s talk about what your dreamy desert engagement photos look like and I can tell you where we should go!
If you are looking for one of the stunning canyons that have made Arizona Red Rock Country what it is today, look no further. One of the reasons I love photographing in Boynton Canyon, is the accessibility. Compared to other more remote destinations, there are many paved roads around Boynton Canyon. This means that during peak times it might be a little busier, but if we can take photos during a weekday we can usually enjoy the views without the crowds. On top of that, Boynton Canyon is said to be a site of a spiritual vortex. It’s definitely one of the most incredible places in Sedona. What better place to connect and start the next chapter of your love story?
I know not everyone wants to head to Sedona to throw on their hiking boots. If you love the magic and the culture of Sedona, Tlaq is a beautiful place to take engagement photos. Known as the heart and soul of Sedona, Tlaq is a shopping center modeled after the Mexican Village ‘Tlaquepaque’ which means ‘best of everything’. When it comes to engagement photos, who doesn’t like the sound of that?! I always love to shop small and support local and this shopping village is the perfect place to connect and support artists of all types. For your engagement photos, we can take photos along the different cobblestone pathways, inside the stores, underneath the magnificent entryway arches. Tlaq feels like it’s own world and it’s pure magic.
It’s hard to think of a more romantic place in Sedona than Lovers Knoll. It was named after the breathtaking landscape of the Sedona desert – the perfect place to fall in love and be in love. Similar to Boynton Canyon, it is relatively easy to access by car as well so you don’t need to love a lot of hiking if you don’t want to. I understand not wanting to sweat in your dress haha. If you want to turn your engagement photos into a day activity, why not enjoy the scenic drive of Red Rock Loop. I’m definitely up for the adventure.
If you are looking for an engagement photo location in Sedona with amenities, Crescent Moon has some great picnic sites! Crescent moon is in the high desert region (at the base of the Mogollon Rim) only fifteen short minutes southwest of Sedona. It’s also pet friendly so if you want to bring your dogs to your engagement photos, I’m all for it! The more the merrier (and after all, they are part of the family too)!
If I haven’t yet expressed my excitement enough – I would LOVE to be your Sedona Engagement Photographer. If you already have a date in mind, contact me here.
